Materials:
Needles: 3 US
**The glove ribbing makes these gloves fit almost anyone as long as the pattern in not knit too tight and the yarn has some flex. If you or your giftee has larger hands, try bumping your needles up.
50g worsted yarn
2 markers

CUFF:
CO 31 st.
RROW 1 (RS):*k1, p1* to last stitch. End k1.
RROW 2: *p1, k1* to last stitch. End p1.

Continue to repeat RRows 1 and 2 until measures 4 -5 cm, depending how much of a cuff you want. End right side row.

In the next three rows, increase 1 on first and final stitches, continuing to alternate k and p. 37 stitches.

HAND:

Work Rows 1 and 2 twice.
ROW 1: k1, p1, *k3, p2*=repeat to end of row, ending with k3, p1, k1
ROW 2: p1, k1, *p3, k2*=repeat to end of row, ending with p3, k1, p1

Work 17 stitches in Row 1, place a marker, and increase two in the next three stitches. Place a marker, and finish the row.
Work Row 2.

Repeat increase for every Row 1 until there are 11 stitches between the markers. Continue alternate Row 2 regularly, knitting the knits and purling the purls.

THUMB:
When you reach 11 stitches between the markers, knit Rows 1 and 2 without increasing, knitting the stitches between the markers on the RS and purling on the WS.

Knit Row 1 once more.
Begin Row 2 and stop at the markers. Bind off the 11 stitches. Finish the row.

Work Row 1 to the new thumb gap, cast on 3 stitches, and finish the row.

Alternate Rows 1 and 2, knitting the knits and purling the purls, for about 6 – 7 cm (glove should cover knuckle of middle finger). Finish with Row 1 and bind off all stitches. Turn WS out and sew side seams, making sure to line up the top and bottom edges. Make second glove.
