This is Erin Archer's Katherine Hat. It is a wonderful pattern - Erin does fantastic work. There are lots of cables, but there is also a neat twist stitch that I'd never done before that looks sort of like a cable without actually cabling. The yarn is soft and weighty wool. The hat is for a craft barter with a fellow church member. She has a wonderful blog, Bright As Day Designs, and we tend to cross paths at church and the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts.
