Knitting for our baby while we wait for him has felt incredibly special. I'm in awe of how small and precious he'll be, how lucky we are... Each knit feels like a way of wrapping him in love.
I really enjoyed making the Frankie Sweater Baby by PetiteKnit and could see myself making it many times over in different color variations and sizes. It's one of those patterns that comes together in a really satisfying way, with just enough interesting details to keep the knitting engaging.
I especially love the rolled neckline as an alternative to a more structured neckband, and the construction of using raglan increases and short rows.
The Fibre Company Road to China Light in was lovely to work with. It's wonderfully soft, and I really liked these two colors — Sapphire and Blue Tourmaline —together.
