As a request, I made this shawl with cotton rather than acrylic or wool. While I was worried about the texture, I think it turned out great! I’d definitely like to try the pattern again with a softer yarn in the future to see how that turns out. The cotton does not have a lot of flex, but it blocked well.

Once I memorized the pattern, this was a good project to pick up and work on bit by bit. As other reviewers have said, the completion time on the pattern is very inaccurate. Even without knitting the recommended length, it took far longer than estimated. Because of this and the repeating pattern, gradual progress worked well and did not overwhelm the process.
